What happens if the recipient isn’t home?Updated 12 days ago
If the recipient isn't at home, a few things could happen:
- The courier will leave the goods at the front or back door if the recipient isn't home and if there is a safe place to do so.
- If the gift box contains alcohol then the courier will not leave it at the home. They will then need to contact NZ Post to see where they can pick up their gift box.
- If no such location is available, a Parcel For You card will be left, advising of the next steps. You have 10 days to collect the item or request a redelivery. After 10 days, the box will be sent back to us.
